March 2025: From A Woman’s Perspective A Group Exhibition of Visual Art
Stop in Richard Boyd Art Gallery and immerse yourself in the beauty and complexity of visual art created by a distinguished group of highly regarded women artists each bringing their distinct perspectives and interests to the gallery through their love of creating art. Visual art created by women is under-represented in museums and galleries around the globe. So, let’s change this. Help recognize and celebrate women and the contributions they make to the arts and our society on a daily basis. Each piece in the exhibition offers a unique perspective, reflecting the individual experiences and artistic journeys of these remarkable women. Their works range from serene landscapes to colorful abstracts, each telling a story that resonates with viewers fostering a deeper appreciation for the diverse and rich contributions of women in the art world. Richard Boyd Art Gallery is committed to providing a platform for women artists, recognizing the importance of diversity and representation in the arts. This exhibition is not just a showcase of talent, but a celebration of the creativity and resilience of women artists and includes works by Deena S. Ball a renowned art educator and instructor known for her plein air landscape paintings; Patricia Chandler a distinguished highly regarded fine and commercial artist, art instructor, illustrator, and retired art educator acclaimed for her knowledge and ability to convey powerful emotions through her art; Carrin Culotta known for her traditional style plein air and in studio landscape paintings; Jane Herbert a distinguished fine and commercial artist known for her calming, beautifully detailed acrylic landscape paintings; Laura Freeman a distinguished artist recognized for her beautiful unique and limited edition sculptures and paintings in miniature; Wyn Foland nationally recognized artist known for her paintings in miniature; Jen Pagnini a commercial and fine artist known for her abstract art; Amy Bickford known for her paintings with gouache; and Felicity Sidwell an internationally renowned plein air landscape artist.
