“Maine Seascape” by Wyn Foland

A gifted artist working in a variety of media, Wyn FolandĀ is well known for her impressionistic style paintings in miniature. Wyn creates large scale paintings and miniatures, which by definition are 4″ x 6″ and employ all the principles of larger scale works. Foland’s acrylic, watercolor and mixed media paintings are an expression of her inner self and surroundings. For the past 32 years, Wyn has traveled to Peaks Island, Maine to create plein-air paintings immersing herself in the natural beauty and unending inspiration of the island. FolandĀ paints multiple genre including landscapes, seascapes, figures and local architecture.

When not traveling nationally or internationally creating paintings and filling her sketch book with drawings, Foland can usually be found working in her studio outside of Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to being a Signature Member of the South Carolina Watermedia Society and the Georgia Watercolor Society, Wyn is a demonstrating artist at the Georgia Heritage Center For The Arts and a Chroma teacher and demonstator for Atelier International Paints.
