April 2025: The American Landscape A Group Exhibition Of Visual Art
Visit Richard Boyd Art Gallery in April to experience an exquisite annual exhibition of landscape paintings. Landscape art has been a significant genre of art for centuries and remains one of the most collected. Whether created en plein air to capture the natural light and color in the area, created in a studio setting using a sketch or photograph as a reference, or painted from memory, each painting embodies the artist’s vision of that place in time.
The exhibit is comprised of paintings expressing feelings associated with wilderness areas, micro-studies of nature, and realistic landscape paintings depicting the artist’s interpretation of a specific scene or a detailed rendering of the landscape before them.
The exhibition showcases a stunning selection of paintings by highly regarded, award-winning, and established artists Jane Herbert a distinguished fine and commercial artist known for her calming, beautifully detailed acrylic paintings; Deena S. Ball a nationally renowned art educator and instructor known for her plein air watercolor paintings; Patricia Chandler a nationally recognized distinguished fine and commercial artist, art instructor, illustrator, and retired art educator well known for her knowledge and ability to create original art across all genres; Carrin Culotta recognized for her traditional style plein air and in studio oil paintings; Kevin Daley known for his plein air and in studio oil paintings; Tim Eaton a distinguished nationally recognized commercial and fine artist known for his stunning in studio oil paintings; Kenneth Mancini known for his paintings in oil; and HM Saffer II an internationally renowned, award-winning performing and visual artist famed for his magnificently layered pointillist style landscape paintings.
